Memories of the Great Depression and other Memories of Dwight C. Burnham oral history, 2008.

Audio-visual oral history told by Dwight Burhnam, originally of Macomb Illinois. Burnham discusses his family history and genealogy, including the Burhnam family's move to Vishnu Springs, Illinois and later to Macomb, Illinois; the Burhnam Brothers Grocery store chain founded by his grandfather and later run by his father and uncles; and the Burhnam and Burhnam Insurance company run by his father and uncle. Burnham reminisces about growing up in Macomb during the Great Depression and attending the Western Illinois State Teachers College Lab School. He discusses the various houses where he and his family lived in Macomb and the various businesses he worked for, including Macomb Dairy and Hemp and Company. The recording features Burhnam sitting in his 2008 home and speaking into a camera; he was not interviewed.
